Since the launch of the government's energy saving plan, Campus Service at Aalborg University (AAU) has been busy spotting all the places where the university can save on its heat and energy consumption. The temperature has been lowered to 19 degrees in all AAU buildings and all decorative lighting has been turned off. But more can be done, which is why Campus Service is now asking for ideas from both students and staff for additional energy savings. The AAU Building Support App has a new feature where everyone can easily and quickly give Campus Service tips about unnecessary energy consumption.
- With the energy crisis we are facing right now, all the savings we can think of are useful. So I hope that staff and students will keep an eye out and make us aware of places where we can save more. It could be unnecessary lighting, a refrigerator that is not being used or something like that. All tips will be warmly received, says Campus Director Mogens Juul Møller.
You can download the AAU Building Support App from Google Play and the App Store. Read more about the app here
It is also possible to report unnecessary energy consumption to Campus Service via computer at bs.aau.dk.
